soprano Keri Lee Pierson

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame features soprano Keri Lee Pierson singing 15 one-minute works from 15 different composers. The 15 composers included in this unique setinclude: Avery Britt, Jim Dalton, etg, Aidan P. Fischer, Kirsten Johnson,Michael Todd Kovell, Ralph Lewis, Maria E. Ljungdahl, Ben David Richmond,Marina Romani, Ryne Siesky, Chris Tilley, David Unger, William Vollinger, andBlair Whittington.

Keri Lee Pierson is a classically trained soprano andcontemporary musician, currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree atBGSU where she collaborates regularly with her colleagues, instructors and TheMidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works written by different composers specifically for a musician or ensemble. Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame gives a variety of new music by living composers to audiences hungry to hear what is being created in today's music scene.

Composer's Voice showcases full contemporary works by musicians who champion new music. Episodes of Composer's Voice air its half-hour show every 2 weeks on Saturday at 2:00 PM EST (UTC-5) on NYC cable access TV with Manhattan Neighborhood's Network channel 2.

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for soprano solo

This Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is looking to strengthen and empower the contemporary opera community by creating one minute arias to highlight the soprano singer. Deadline for works is June 30th, 2024

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring

Robert Botti, oboe

With another BLAST from the PAST, Vox Novus continues its celebration of 15 years of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with a performance by oboist Robert Botti.

Composer's Voice in collaboration with the International Double Reed Society presents the World Premiere of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Robert Botti, oboe. 15 one-minute works by 15 composers on a theme of "New York City" by David Avshalomov, Robert Botti, Douglas DaSilva, David Grossman, Robert Magnuson, David Mastikosa, Gary Powell Nash, Norberto Oldrini, Nicholas O'Neill, Naftali Schindler, Jose Jesus de Azevedo Souza, Samuel Stokes, Luca Vanneschi, Jean-Pierre Vial, Blair Whittington August 6, 2014 at Subculture, in New York City.

Oboist Robert Botti (The Lizabeth and Frank Newman Chair) joined the New York Philharmonic in 1992, having been principal oboe of the New York City Opera Orchestra. He has appeared as soloist with the New York Symphonic Ensemble and performed in the Grand Teton, Bach Stony Brook, and Music from Colorado festivals. He has collaborated and recorded with Gunther Schuller and Wynton Marsalis as a guest artist with Jazz at Lincoln Center, and is a member of the Sylvan Winds, with whom he has given many premieres
